The Art of the Wait

I am sitting next to a guy on the plane, who is extremely unhappy in his own skin. Toe tapping, impatient comments under his breath, sniffles, nose rubbing, the works.

Of course, it doesn’t help that our plane got grounded before it even took off – leaking fluids.

I remember an era in my life when I was always in a hurry; always impatient. I have learned that how you spend the ‘wait’ is as important as getting ‘there’. Taking these moments to slow down my brain, take deep breaths, and even imagining being in the most restful location on earth, have become gifts to me, rather than annoyances.

I hope you will take a minute to enjoy the wait, your journey is progressing as fast as it was meant to.
